Water well pipe options

The type of water well pipe is chosen during borehole installation and depends on the required water flow.

The well price includes:

  1. Transport — travel costs across Latvia;

  2. Site selection — choosing the drilling point;

  3. The drilling process;

  4. Pit excavation for water circulation;

  5. Bentonite clay and polymers to stabilise borehole walls;

  6. PVC well casing for drinking water;

  7. Filter section installation — depending on well type;

  8. Grouting behind casing — to prevent mixing of water layers;

  9. Well flushing with at least one tonne of water;

  10. Pumping water from the well with our deep-well pump until visually clear.

Water borehole

We offer different well types to suit your needs.

Artesian borehole

Artesian borehole

Artesian water lies between two impermeable layers. High quality, sustainable resource. We use PVC pipes 90 mm, 125 mm, 160 mm, made in Italy. 2-year warranty.

Artesian borehole installation

Artesian borehole installation

An artesian water borehole is constructed in the bedrock layer, usually in dolomite or sandstone, where water lies under pressure at a certain level. Artesian water is typically clean and not exposed to surface pollution.

We use PVC pipes for artesian wells: 90 mm 125 mm 160 mm made in Italy

2 years warranty

Main features

  • Pressure: Water lies between two impermeable layers at specific static and dynamic levels below the surface. Pressure can be high enough to force water upward — a flowing artesian well.
  • Water quality: Usually high, as water comes from deeper layers and bedrock (sandstone or dolomite) and is not exposed to surface pollution.
  • Well depth: Varies with geology, from five to several hundred metres.
  • Use: Drinking water, agriculture, industry, domestic supply.

Process

  • Deep well drilling is carried out with one of our powerful compact drilling rigs.
  • Casing pipes are installed in the borehole at the required depth, sealing off ground layers.
  • The borehole is deepened or flushed.
  • Using a deep-well pump, flushing continues until the water is visually clear.
  • We determine static and dynamic water levels in the well.

Advantages

  • Sustainability: A sustainable resource when managed properly. Wells with metal pipes last on average about 50 years.
  • Purity: Isolated between impermeable clay layers, less exposed to pollution.
  • Self-flow: Sometimes water flows without pumps, reducing energy costs.

Ideal for:

  • Domestic and commercial water supply
  • Agriculture and production
  • Gardens and land irrigation

Well connection types

Via sealed top cap

Via sealed top cap

Recommended for irrigation: no non-return valve above the pump, so when the pump stops, water drains back and avoids freezing in winter.

The sealed cap keeps the well sealed and prevents debris and pests.

Advantages
  • Lower installation cost
  • Quick connection
Disadvantages
  • In the simple variant you must not install taps on the pipe; risk of pump damage and freezing in winter.
Via adapter

Via adapter

Best if you have a heated room for filters and expansion tank. No well house needed; the pump can be removed with the adapter key. Year-round use with pipes buried 1 m deep.

Trench from well to house at 1 m depth. Pump connected with PE 32 mm pipe and OMY 4×2.5 cable.

Advantages
  • Lower installation cost than tank or well house
  • Only 125 mm well pipe and cap above ground
  • Less excavation
  • Pipes do not freeze; use all year
Disadvantages
  • Heated space needed for pump equipment
Insulated sealed tank

Insulated sealed tank

Classic year-round option — pipes in the tank do not freeze.

The tank can hold all equipment so nothing is in the house. Quality build keeps groundwater out.

Advantages
  • Fully sealed and insulated
  • Pump noise not heard
  • No equipment space needed in the house
Disadvantages
  • Higher cost for tank and installation

Frequently asked questions

Depending on well type, required flow and depth. We mainly use Italian PVC pipes 125 mm in diameter, from 32 mm up to 160 mm.

Call: +37126445099

Yes! We have drilling crews and plumbers for well connections. We help with everything from pump selection to tap fittings.

We design water supply connections, carry out geological and hydrogeological surveys, level measurements and cost estimates.

After drilling we measure static and dynamic water levels, issue a well passport, and complete the chosen connection type.

Our team can find water almost anywhere in Latvia!

Price and timeline depend on many factors. The final drilling cost is known after completion, but you can get an estimate by calling 26445099 and sending coordinates — we check geological maps for likely water layers. With decades of experience we will find a solution. Cost depends on depth, pipe diameter, site access, equipment type, required flow (m³/h), connection type and more.

Call: +37126445099

Water quality cannot be known before the well is finished. Ask neighbours about depth and pipe type, then take a sample for lab analysis after flushing.

Call: +37126445099

We usually finish in one day; some sites take longer. Speed comes from experience, equipment and planning.

Call: +37126445099

After drilling the well is flushed with a large volume of water (at least one tonne), then pumped with our deep-well pump until clear. Time depends on well type, screen, aquifer and rock — often 2–12 hours, sometimes longer. Follow the driller's instructions; never switch off the pump while it is moving sand or gravel, and do not use pond or sump pumps in the borehole.

More questions: +37126445099

Yes — repairs, pump replacement, stuck pump extraction (call us, do not pull it yourself), cleaning, flushing and pipe work. 2-year warranty on our work. Keep access for drilling equipment if needed.

Our drillers choose the best water intake point and avoid drilling extra metres. We know depths across most of Latvia.

In season we drill at least 1 km total depth per month. We have completed thousands of wells. Our rigs work winter and summer with consistently high quality.

Call: +37126445099

Yes! We drill in tight access, gardens and yards with compact rigs on tracks, wheels or 4×4 — about 1.5 m wide and 4 m long. We have lifted rigs over houses when there was no access. Minimal damage to lawns.
